AFRICAN DRUMMING AND DANCE – WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 22ND, 6:30 PM

<style="padding-bottom:0;margin-bottom: 0px;">Join us as Mohammad Kalifa Kamara of West Africa, former Director of African Ballet of Gambia, performs traditional drumming, dancing, and songs of his native village in Guinea, West Africa. Mohammad is from a long line of African drummers and will play djimbe to accompany an African dancer for this performance at the Robbins Library.   Mohammad also teaches his audiences African songs and dances, so come sing along, share in the drumming and join as they twirl to the dances of their ancestors.

This family event is free and open to the public.

Refreshments will be served.
