Do you have a few hours each month to help the Robbins Library? If so, the Friends of the Library could use your assistance. Volunteers help with fundraising activities and programs, serve on various committees (programs, membership, fundraising, publicity), assist with our Book Sales, and serve on the Friends Board of Directors. If you are interested or would like further information, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to include a phone number if you would like someone to call you back.
ONGOING BOOK SALE AT ROBBINS
The Friends of the Robbins Library maintain an ongoing book sale in the Library’s fourth floor Book Sale Room. The selection is updated frequently and the books are reasonably priced (50¢ to $2.00). Proceeds from the sale allow the Friends to offer the family museum pass program as well as to purchase supplemental materials and equipment for the Robbins and Fox libraries. Donations for the Book Sale are gratefully accepted on the fourth floor of the Library. We ask you to limit your contributions to one bag/box per visit, due to storage limitations. The Sale is maintained with the hard work of Friends volunteers who sort and shelve the new additions to the shelves. Volunteers are also needed for our periodic book sales during the year, such as our Town Day Book Sale.
Consider supporting Arlington’s libraries—places to meet, relax and learn. Donations of any amount are appreciated. The Friends of the Robbins Library is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and all donations are tax-deductible. (If you are considering an endowed fund or bequest, or wish to target your donation in support of a specific campaign, please visit the website for the Arlington Libraries Foundation.)
