The Friends of the Robbins Library will hold a brief Annual General Meeting prior to a presentation by Jillian Harvey, Director of the Town of Arlington’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
During Ms. Harvey’s presentation titled Real Talk: A Conversation with Jillian Harvey she will talk about her experience over the last year as the Town’s first employee in a dedicated DEI role. Jillian will touch upon her work with the Human Rights Commission, Disability Commission and LGBTQIA+ Rainbow Commission, advancing the racial equity initiatives for the Town, and some of the day to day challenges and triumphs that she endures in navigating community relations. Jillian is hoping to have an engaging conversation, so please come ready to ask questions. Registration on Eventbrite is required.
