Join us for the wrap-up event of Arlington Reads Together 2018 on Thursday March 29 at 7pm in the Robbins Library Community Room.
Facing History and Ourselves is to present on “The Challenge of Difference”. The evening will explore questions like how do we as a community react to difference? How can we build understanding and empathy for those who are different from us?
The discussion is grounded in themes of empathy, identity, perspective, and the range of human behavior; poetry, video, and multi-modal discussion strategies will be used to push our thinking. This program is suitable for middle school age youth and adults. Vision 2020 Diversity Task Group and the Arlington Human Rights Commission are co-sponsors of the event.
You can expect that compelling and constructive dialogue will be generated by the participants.
