MOVIE: IDITAROD … A FAR DISTANT PLACE – SATURDAY, MARCH 7, 2:00-4:00 PM

From Alice Bouvrie, the award-winning maker of the film Prison Pups, shown here previously, comes this inspiring story of three mushers on the long distance Iditarod sled dog race across the Alaskan wilderness, Iditarod … A Far Distant Place.

For over a thousand miles, Mike Williams, a Yup’ik Eskimo and the “Sobriety Musher”, Lynda Plettner a 48-year-old grandmother, and Mike Nosko, a man determined to place “in the money”, brave arctic temperatures, exhaustion, and difficult terrain to find purpose and self-knowledge in The Last Great Race On Earth.

Join us on Saturday, March 7 at 2:00 pm in the Robbins Library Community Room for the movie and a Q & A session with the Director afterwards. The event is free and open to the public.
